MS-CPAS2 Testing

The testing process involved with the Mississippi Career Planning and Assessment System, Edition 2 is divided into four phases for each of the three testing cycles (fall, spring and summer). The phases are developed to assist test coordinators as they plan for the upcoming school year.

Phase 1 - Verification

Verify Programs

Programs must be verified first. We need to make sure we have a correct list of the career and technical education programs participating in each assessment, along with a list of he correct test coordinators for each program. Often students travel across district lines to test where programs are offered. We want to ensure we know where to look for all your students.

Submit Students

Email us your student rosters.

Verify Students (only if phase is active)

Once we have received your student rosters, we will load them into the assessment engine. Test coordinators may then view the rosters to verify that they are correct. The steps above will help ensure the correct assessment is ready for your students.

Phase 2 -Demo Period

Kick the Tires (Only when phase is active.)

This phase is for administrators, proctors and students to experience the MS-CPAS2 testing process.
  • We would like for your students to use their actual IDs so that we can identify any students not in the system.
  • Please use the same proctor logins you will use during live testing.
  • Please use the same computer lab you will use during live testing.

Identify Problems

If you follow the bullets above, you may encounter the following common problems:
  • Students are not loaded in the system.
  • Proctors are not able to log in.
  • Students are not associated with the proctor login.
  • Computers are not able to display the test properly.
  • Network cannot handle the amount of traffic.

The assessment staff will be able to assist you with any of these problems if they occur.
