Mississippi is committed to improving the success for all students and is implementing the Pathways to Success system. It is a system that combines high academic standards with career exploration.
To assist districts in their implementation of this system, the Mississippi Department of Education provided two-day trainings during the fall targeting middle school and high school counselors and principals at eight regional sites. These trainings provided an overview of Mississippi’s Pathways to Success that included graduation requirements, career clusters, individual career and academic plans and career majors.
