Out of an abundance of caution for stakeholders' health and well-being due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Innovative Institute will be held online June 15.
Online registration is still available for those who are interested. Those who register by May 25 will receive a conference kit that includes informative materials, snacks and other gifts to use and enjoy during the event. The first 300 to register will be given a free copy of one of keynote speaker George Couros' books.
Through the one-day conference, participants will have the opportunity to learn best practices and tips on innovative education from state and nationwide educators.
Couros, author of The Innovator's Mindset and Innovate Inside the Box, has over 20 years' experience as an educator at the K-12 level and believes in the distribution of leadership and collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure educators best serve the needs of students.
Founded in 1965, the RCU contributes to MSU’s mission as a land-grant institution to better the lives of Mississippians with a focus on improving education. In particular, the RCU benefits K-12 and higher education by developing curricula and assessments, providing training and learning opportunities for educators, researching and evaluating programs, supporting and promoting career and technical education, and leading education innovations.
