The Mississippi State University Research and Curriculum Unit, in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education, is inviting schools, community-based organizations and education stakeholders from across the state to submit proposals for the fourth-annual summer Innovative Institute.
The conference will be held June 17-18 at the Mill Conference Center in Starkville, and the deadline for proposals is March 22.
Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes and should share strategies showcasing innovative practices and experiences that provide a more equitable, rigorous and personalized experience for all students.
Conference organizers are also requesting that proposals for breakout sessions increase participants’ capacity to foster authentic school-community engagement, establish meaningful relationships with marginalized groups in schools and/or communities and strengthen partnerships to improve outcomes for all students.
“We’re excited to spotlight Mississippi’s innovative educators and help share best practices with teachers and school districts. We appreciate what our educators do for all students in the state,” said Cindy Ming, an RCU project manager and Innovative Institute organizer.
