Rankin County Health Science Academy Students Promote Handwashing Techniques

Rankin County health science students

Health Science Academy ninth graders and self-contained class students at Brandon High School (Rankin County School District) teamed up in December to learn about and promote proper handwashing techniques. The assignment was performed in conjunction with studies on infection control and the importance of handwashing, especially during peak flu season. Students learned good hygiene can help break the chain of infection, and friendships were made as students played games and spread holiday cheer.
