The Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) is a digital literacy exam that covers basic computing, internet knowledge, and skills for national credentials. Successful completion of IC³ demonstrates that you have the knowledge and skills required for basic use of computer hardware, software, networks, and the Internet.
The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has adopted this certification as a requirement in several licensure-endorsement areas. Please contact MDE to verify whether IC³ is required for your specific licensure.
The IC³ exam is created by Certiport, a business of NCS Pearson, Inc. It is available in several versions, but for MDE licensure requirements, the Global Standards 4 or 5 (GS4 or GS5) is acceptable.
