Daniel Derrick
Daniel Derrick joined the RCU in June of 2025 as a program manager. His role includes working alongside Mississippi Department of Education colleagues to help lead and serve Mississippi FFA, facilitating events and advising Mississippi FFA state officers. Prior to joining the RCU, he taught agriculture and natural resources for six years in Tennessee and Mississippi. His exceptional teaching was recognized in 2021 when he was honored with the Alcorn Career Technology Center Teacher of the Year Award. Derrick is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education, leadership and communications with an emphasis on agricultural education. He also holds a master’s degree from Arkansas State University in educational leadership.
