Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

FAA

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the national authority responsible for regulating and overseeing all aspects of civil aviation in the United States. As part of its mission to ensure safety and efficiency in air travel, the FAA administers a wide range of certification exams for pilots, mechanics, air traffic controllers, and other aviation professionals. These exams, developed in partnership with PSI Services, assess candidates' knowledge of aeronautical principles, regulations, and operational procedures. Successfully passing an FAA certification exam is a critical step toward earning an official airman certificate and advancing in the aviation industry.

The most recent list of approved national certifications is available on the State Workforce Investment Board (SWIB) website.
